Gather Together Friendsgiving 2025 Set-A-Plate Challenge
The Set-a-Plate Challenge Add extra meaning to your usual Thanksgiving meal this year by bringing hope, resources, and community to Richmond's unhoused neighbors. RVA Light is looking for 20 hosts to each raise $500 collectively among their group.
How It Works
- Gather: Host any meal with 6 to 10 friends or family members anytime between now and November 24th.
- Share: You do not need to cook food for RVA Light. Simply share RVA Light's story over your meal, preferably a Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving dinner, and invite your guests to donate.
- Fundraise: Ask your table to collectively raise $500 using your unique personal donation link.
- Post: Tag RVA Light on social media using #SetAPlateRVALight.
Your Digital Host Kit
Participating is simple, and registering provides you with a digital kit containing everything you need. You will receive:
- A one-page "how it works" sheet.
- A digital invite to share via text or email.
- A 60-second "what-to-say" script.
- A unique Giving QR code and personal donation link.
- A brief Friendsgiving-themed gratitude video sharing a story about our neighbors.
